Down in the subway: see our gallery featuring the colourful show entrance to Southampton Common
Welcome!
Hello and welcome to our first email digest on Substack – thanks so much for coming with us.
We’re calling this new version digest+. The digest part continues what you’re used to: regular, catch-up emails with handy links to our latest stories. The + means we’ll occasionally bring you something extra – audio features, photo galleries, and other bits that may not appear anywhere else.
In the future, both the newsletter and the extras will only be available to paying subscribers (from just £3.50/month, with a one-month free trial). But you’re not just paying for bonus content: crucially, your support helps cover the costs of running the site and producing independent local news. Without more support we simply can’t keep going. Thank you.
If you’re a recent supporter, you’re probably eligible for a free one-year subscription to digest+ – just fill out this quick form.
More detail on digest+ is available on our About page.
Finally, bitternepark.info is a proud supporter of TriFest, which is THIS SATURDAY! Let’s hope the weather holds - and of course, hope to see you there!
And now, finally finally, lots has been going on, so please scroll down for links to our latest local stories…
Until next time...
