This short interview (appox 7 mins) with wildlife TV presenter, conservationist and Bitterne Parker Chris Packham, was recorded in 2024, as he launched a new wildlife art trail centred around Bitterne Station.

As he ‘took the tour’ of local roads, starting and finishing at Bitterne Station Community Hub, and taking in Cobbett Road Library to unveil new artwork (pictured in our graphic), Chris talked about various topics, including:

  • The green spaces, nature and wildlife in this part of the city

  • His memories of growing up around the area, including visiting local Triangle shops, the libraries, and the value of community

  • Returning to the Triangle today while he waits for his dogs to be clipped

  • The importance of art

Due to the recording locations, including around Bitterne Road West, you will hear some traffic noise.
